Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) Gorontalo 2015 Increase 2.95 point from the previous year

Abstract

Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) Gorontalo 2015 is 76.77 from scale 0 until 100, this index increase 2.95 point from the previous year (73.82). Gains of Gorontalo Democracy still in normal category. Classification of democracy level categorized into 3 categories: good (index > 80), normal (index 60 - 80), and bad (index < 60).
Increment number that is composite index influenced by 3 changes of democracy aspects which measured by Civil Liberty decrease 0.84 point from 82.19 in 2014 become 81.35 in 2015, Political Right increase 6.30 point from 63.67 in 2014 become 69.97 in 2015, and Institution of Democracy increase 2.40 from 79.41 in 2014 become 81.81 in 2015.
The methodology of IDI use 4 data sources that is (1) review of local newspaper, (2) document review, (3) Focus Group Discussion, and (4) deep interview.
From period of 2015 has been implemented 2 new components from variable of "The role of local government bureaucracy", as an improvement in order to more sensitive in this current situation.
