Abstract

In January 2018, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Gorontalo Municipality increase from 127.07 to 127.93; this change caused inflation 0.68 percent.
Gorontalo Municipality Inflation happened because of the increasement of indexes in six expenditure groups and one expenditure group has decreased. Expenditure groups indexes that increased such as foodstuffs was 2.20 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups was 0.27 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group was 0.27 percent; clothing was 0.05 percent; health was 0.02 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group was0.63 percent.
The group that decreased in index was the transport, communication and financial services group (-0.09 percent).
The calendar year inflation rate was 0.68 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (January 2018 to January 2017) was 3.72 percent.
January core inflation in Gorontalo Municipality was 0.28 percent, government-set inflation was -0.02 percent, and inflation of volatile good was 2.28 percent.
