December 2024, year on year deflation of Gorontalo Province was 0.79 percent, year on year deflation of Gorontalo Municipality was 1.10 percent, and year on year deflation of Gorontalo Regency was 0.53 percent

In December 2024, Gorontalo Province experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation of 0,79 percent. Gorontalo City experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation of 1,10 percent and Gorontalo Regency experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation of 0,53 percent.

Gorontalo Province's y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices indicated by a decrease in the index in four expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 3,43 percent; household equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 0,93 percent; transportation group by 0,78 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0,79 percent. Six expenditure groups experienced y-on-y inflation, namely clothing and footwear by 2,79 percent; health group by 1,37 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 1,02 percent; education group by 0,54 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2,30 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 3,20 percent. Meanwhile, the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups did not experience significant changes in the index. 

In December 2024, Gorontalo Province experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0,57 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation of 0,79 percent.
