Abstract

In September 2024, the level of inequality in Gorontalo residents' expenditure as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.413. This figure decreased by 0.001 points compared to March 2024 which was recorded at 0.414.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2024 was recorded at 0.400, an increase of 0.003 points compared to March 2024 which was 0.397.
The Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2024 was recorded at 0.402, a decrease of 0.006 points compared to March 2024 which was 0.408.
Based on the World Bank's inequality measure, the distribution of expenditure in the bottom 40 percent group was 16.57 percent. This means that population expenditure in September 2024 was in the moderate inequality category. If broken down by region, in urban areas the distribution of expenditure in the bottom 40 percent group is 17.71 percent, while in rural areas it is 16.63 percent.
