Abstract

Farmers' Terms of Trade is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
Farmers' Terms of Trade is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. It also shows the exchange rate of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.
Gorontalo Farmers' Terms of Trade in January 2025 was 111.45 or an increase of 2.95 percent compared to the previous month. The increase in it was due to It increasing by 3.36 percent and Ib increasing by 0.39 percent.
From 14 provinces in Eastern Indonesia, 13 provinces experienced an increase in Farmers' Terms of Trade. The highest increase in January 2025 occurred in Sulawesi Selatan Province, which was 3.56 percent, and the one experienced decrease was in Sulawesi Barat Province, which was 2.54 percent.
In January 2025, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Gorontalo by 0.25 percent due to an increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco group, the household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance group, the transportation group, the information, communication, and financial services group, and the personal care and other services group.
The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in Gorontalo in January 2025 was 113.61 or an increase of 2.57 percent compared to the NTUP in the previous month.
