Education Indicators of Gorontalo Province 2018

Education is one of the things that affects the quality of human resources. The higher the education, the better the quality of human resources. With education, humans are able to adjust their way of thinking and develop their potential to take part in life. For this reason, education is often seen as a future investment for society in facing the challenges of globalization.
The purpose of education has been stated in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution, which is to educate the life of the nation. Likewise in Law Number 20 Year 2003 concerning the National Education System Article 3 which explains that national education aims to develop the potential of students. As for the international development goals in the field of education set forth in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the fourth goal, namely ensuring the quality of education that is inclusive and equitable, and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Furthermore, the national development goals in the 2015-2019 education sector are contained in the fifth Nawa Cita, namely improving the quality of life of Indonesian people through improving the quality of education.
