Human Development Index of Gorontalo Province 2023

The Human Development Index (HDI) is an indicator of quality of life development achievements which is compiled based on three basic dimensions, namely long and healthy life, knowledge, and a decent standard of living. The dimension of long life and healthy living is represented by the indicator of life expectancy at birth. The knowledge dimension is represented by indicators of expected years of schooling and average years of schooling, while the dimension of decent living standards is represented by per capita expenditure adjusted for PPP (Purchasing Power Parity). HDI figures are presented periodically every year at the national, provincial and regency/municipalitylevels. city. The presentation of HDI by region allows each province and regency/municipality to know the map of human development in terms of achievements, positions and disparities between regions. This publication also uses data that applies accuracy standards sourced from the March 2023 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas). Gorontalo's HDI in 2023 has reached 71.25 in the 'high' category of human development status. Human development achievements in Gorontalo Province in the last four years (2020-2023) show an increase every year with different growth rates in each regency/municipality. Gorontalo Province's HDI increased by 1.74 points, up from 69.51 (2020) to 71.25 (2023).
