Abstract

May 2025 Gorontalo Province experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 0.28 percent. Gorontalo City experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 0.34 percent and Gorontalo Regency experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 0.23 percent.
Gorontalo Province's y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the index in eight expenditure groups, namely the clothing and footwear group by 0.73 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.57 percent; the health group by 0.92 percent; the transportation group by 0.13 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.19 percent; the education group by 0.56 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.80 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 5.06 percent. Three expenditure groups experienced y-on-y deflation, namely the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 0.54 percent; the household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance group by 3.82 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.68 percent.
In May 2025, Gorontalo Province experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation of 1.68 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation of 0.68 percent.
